Help make more miracles possible for kids like Molly.
Now through December 31, 2018, your generous gift will go even further,
making even more miracles possible, thanks to
MC Gives! and a pro-rated matching gift.
The SVMH Foundation and our Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals
Program are delighted to be a participant in the 2018 Monterey County
Gives! Campaign, and we need your help!
The Making More Miracles program exists to help bridge the gap between
medically necessary and medically beneficial services, recognizing that
"necessary care" leaves out many opportunities to improve the
health and wellbeing of our local kids.
By giving through MC Gives!, your gift will receive a pro-rated match,
and will help make more miracles happen for local kids through the Making
More Miracles program; Special Medical Needs Grants for Special Kids.
Through the Making More Miracles program we can fund home wheelchair ramps,
equestrian therapy for children on the autism spectrum, special needs
strollers and high chairs, and can even provide a lift system in the bedroom
of a disabled teen that mom can no longer carry into bed. Individual families
can apply for help for their children from infancy to age 17. (Click here to learn more about this program, or to download an application).
Special needs of local kids in our community go unmet due to cost, availability,
and lack of resources. Far too often it is only the "medically necessary"
equipment, services, and treatments that are covered by some form of funding
source. Wonderful therapies, treatments, specialized pieces of equipment
and more exist, but are simply too cost prohibitive for most special needs
families to afford. Over 14.4% of children in Monterey County have one
or more special health needs, and while many programs exist to help serve
these children, the need is too great and the resources are too few.

Monterey Peninsula Foundation.
MC Gives! FAQs
WHY DONATE THROUGH MONTEREY COUNTY GIVES?
By donating through Monterey County Gives!, our Making More Miracles Program
will receive an additional amount on top of your donation through the
overall match. This overall match is pro-rated based on a percentage each
organization raises, up to $75,000.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Thanks to generosity of Partners and Sponsors, Monterey County Gives! has
Overall Matching Fund. This pool of money will be used to provide the pro-rated match. The overall
match will be divided based on the percentage of the total donations received
during the campaign by each organization. This match will only apply to
the first $75,000 raised by an organization.
